Industry Well Represented on FAA Drone Registry Task Force

faaThe FAA has released the list of members for their Drone Registration Task Force, and the commercial drone market has been well represented.   The 25 members include 15 members representing commercial interests.  The list comes as a relief to some stakeholders in the drone industry, who have seen little representation in Senate hearings and other FAA meetings.

“The Task Force membership represents a range of stakeholder viewpoints, interests and knowledge of the objectives and scope. Task Force membership was by invitation only and participation is voluntary,” the announcement states.

The task force is expected to deliver its findings by November 20, and the statement says that work is already underway.  Members will meet officially from November 3 – 5 before developing a statement of their findings on streamlining a drone registration process.
