Electronic Indi-Pop musician Lade chose to use a drone to shoot a music video for My Ghost, a song off his latest EP. So his friend and aerial cinematography enthusiast Andrew Gerety wen on a two day trip up California’s Pacific Coast Highway and captured some really awesome footage.

The video was shot with a DJI Phantom 3 Professional edition and looks super professional. Nearly the first whole minute looks like it was ripped from a one of Sam Mendes’ Bond films.
Incidentally, the opening shot of this video reminded me of the shot from the end of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince where Harry and Dumbledore go to the the cave to find Voldemort’s locket.
Naturally, I went and found that clip so I could watch the two side by side and the conclusion I have come to is Gerety’s footage would have served the film better than the CGI one that made the final cut:
