Video of the Day 6/23/15: Easy-to-Miss Step in Setting Up Your DJI Phantom 3

As with the release of any new gadget there are bound to be issues that require some troubleshooting. When it comes to DJI’s Phantom 3 drone, the obvious first hiccup was the delayed release of a workable version of the new Pilot app.

But now that that issue has been sorted out, the other problem many users (including DroneLife) have run into involves the gimbal.

If you are having trouble with your gimbal not working properly, the first thing you should refer to is this video from YouTube user IrixGuy.

This is the equivalent to your IT department asking if ‘Have you tried turning it off and on again?’ but this is one of those things you would much rather figure out yourself instead of embarrassing yourself when you take it to a friend or back to the store or, even worse, DJI customer support.
