Since its release just over a month ago, DJI’s Phantom 3 has been flying off shelves. Well, not really shelves… We really need a new idiom for the 20th century. The Phantom 3 has been flying out of warehouses.
Due to the Phantom 3’s relatively low price point, more and more people are opting for this top of the line model when buying their first drone.

The problem is, it’s 2015 and nobody really reads a manual when they unbox a new gadget. This works fine with a new tablet or smart watch because setup is fairly intuitive and there is usually a quick tutorial the first time you turn such a gadget on.
Drones are a different beast, though. We understand it’s exciting to open your first drone and hear it boot up for the first time but we implore you, take a moment to get an overview of the system before you try and fly. It’s going to take the better part of an hour to charge your battery so you might as well spend that hour educating yourself.
We’ll help you out. No reading required.
