Ryan Chatfield is very lucky. When most of us see our drone going down over water, we have the same thought as Mr. Chatfield: “That’s it. It’s gone.”
But Chatfield had the benefit of being a marathon runner on his side, so when his drone started to go down into the ocean, he figured he had to try and save it… Of course it doesn’t hurt that the average temperature of the ocean in Perth, Australia in April is about 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
I mean, you’re not going to see a member of the DRONELIFE team diving into the Charles River anytime soon, drone crash or not.
