Parrot Introduces the Flying Saucer Drone

Parrot, the company behind the extremely popular AR 2.0 and Bebop Drones announced today its latest project, the Flying Saucer Drone.

Powered by a 3500 mAh LiPo battery, the Flying Saucer Drone gets about 19 minutes of flight time and has a range of 100 meters.

The body of the drone is made of ionized aluminum and carbon fiber, giving the Flying Saucer Drone unparalleled stability in the air. The drone features a downward facing, 4k, 3D camera.

It is also compatible with Parrot’s Skycontroller for long range flights.

In choosing such an unrecognizable and calming design, Parrot hopes to quell some of the increasing paranoia people have due to all the new technology that is entering our airspace.

According to the Parrot blog, the team is also working on developing voice and motion controls.

The Parrot Flying Saucer Drone is expected to launch in December 2015.
