DroneLife Introduces Databases for Drone Videos, Apps

If you are a DroneLife regular, you may have noticed we have started posting a new video every day. Whether it’s someone sending us their latest aerial footage reel, helpful flying tips we find on YouTube, or a report of drones in the news, we are discovering amazing drone video content all the time.

We wanted to share it all with you but quickly realized our homepage would be quickly flooded with videos.

So, we solved this problem by choosing one video every day to be our featured “Video of the Day” and we created a page dedicated to sharing videos. You can check out our new video page right here.

If you have a video you would like to share, send a link to editor@dronelife.com and tell us the story behind the video and the type of drone you used to shoot it (if applicable).

While I am on the topic of new features on DroneLife, we also just launched our Drone Apps page.

If this sounds like a mash-up of techie buzzwords you’re not entirely wrong. While there is still a small number of actual drone apps that are widely available, many more will be coming to market as drones become more commonplace and user friendly.

You can check out our app database right here. You can also search the database by drone compatibility (Parrot, DJI, Ghost etc.) or by platform you want to run the app from (iOS, Android).

If you have developed a drone app and would like to share it with the DroneLife community, we would be happy to add it to our database.
