MIT Embracing Drones for Delivering Acceptance Letters… Sort of

It seems the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is working on turning its entire admissions process over to drones. In 2013, MIT demonstrated the prototype for Skycall, a system that conducts campus tours using a drone and your smartphone.

Now the globally recognized university has followed it up with a video of drones delivering acceptance letters with drones:

So if you have received a note from MIT via email or (god forbid) snail mail -I hate to be the one to break this to you- it’s probably bad news.

In all seriousness though, this video is obviously a parody.

As you can see at the 40 second mark, the 10 foot snowbanks on Mass Ave have been photoshopped out of the shot. Plus, there is now way the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has human beings evaluating applications.

You’re not fooling anyone MIT!
