That is the first thing AtlantaHobby.com wants you to know about their latest release, the Vortex drone. The frame of the drone is 3D printed on aerospace-grade 3D printers which means the UAV is both durable and light at the same time. Oh, and because each piece of the body is 3D printed, the Vortex is available in a variety of colors.
The light frame allows for 25 minutes of flight time with payload (pretty high, by industry standards).
Speaking of payload, the Vortex is a hexacopter that comes standard with DJI’s H3-3D 3-axis stabilized gimbal for GoPro cameras and can also be outfitted with FLIR thermal imagers.
In addition to the gimbal, the Vortex also uses the DJI E-600 motor ESC package and Naza V2 Autopilot and is compatible with all the DJI bells and whistles including the Lightbridge video downlink transmitter, Ground Station and FPV transmitters.
