Is your week droning on? Fear not! To get over the end-of-the-week-slump, check out these videos of cool ways people are using UAS all over the world.
1)We have seen plenty of examples of drones being used in sports to capture film for study, but this guy has taken the first step into a larger world: drones as a practice aid.
2) This video is sort of “How its Made” for the New York Public library. Nate Bolt flew his DJI Phantom through the part of the library the public doesn’t usually see:
So wait what is this place? When someone orders a book, dvd, etc at one of the 150 branches of the NY Public Library or Brooklyn Public Library, it might have to come from another branch. For maximum efficiency, all those books or other items are sent to this big machine with lasers that scan the books and route them to the right branch.
Its the coolest video of the New York Public Library since those guys reenacted Ghostbusters. But Bolt should count himself lucky; the NYPD would probably have shut him down in a second if they caught a whiff of his drone.
3) Finally this week, British Sky Broadcasting’s Sky Sports brought in David Beckham, most famous for his career as an underwear model and marrying one of the Spice Girls, for the company’s latest promotion… featuring Drone Cams.
