On Monday, CNN announced it was teaming up with the Georgia Institute of Technology to study the proper use of unmanned aerial systems. The initiative aims to safely and effectively integrate UAS into the news circuit, a practice known as ‘drone journalism.’
A lot of universities are trying to develop drone journalism curriculums and the partnership with (and investment from) a major news outlet seemed to be a tremendous step forward for the future of such programs.
