Three-fer Thursday 6/19: Wine Country, Frozen Waterfalls, and Ancient Mysteries

Is your week droning on? Fear not! To get over the end-of-the-week-slump, check out these videos of cool ways people are using UAS all over the world.

Before you get lost in all this aerial awesome-ness, I have a confession to make: This week’s Three-fer Thursday is brought to you in part by TravelbyDrone.com. If you haven’t checked out TravelbyDrone it is definitely worth your time; the site is simply a database of geo-tagged drone videos laid out on a map of the world…Fair warning, you could lose a lot of time over there getting a new point of view on a vacation spot you recently visited or a somewhere you used to live.

I’m not saying thats how I chose to share these videos but, well, you’ll see:

1) Someone in our office may or may not have recently returned from a vacation in Chianti, Italy. Said person may or may not be reeeeally ready to go back and this video may or may not have helped.

2) Someone in our office also may or may not have lived in Ithaca, NY for several years and may or may not have felt a little nostalgic after watching this video.

3)Finally this week, we have the drone that discovered some ancient petroglyphs etched into the side of a canyon in Utah. According to Jerry Spangler, who heads up the Colorado Plateau Archaeological Alliance, the petroglyphs could date back 2,500 years. “It’s possible that what he [the pilot] found has never been formally documented by archaeologist,” Mr Spangler said in an interview with FOX 13 Utah. Now you can see them for yourself:
