Whoever insinuated robots were incapable of making music (ahem…Will Smith) its time to admit defeat. Experimental robotics research company KMel Robotics posted a video this week that proves autonomous robots -in this case a swarm of drones- can, in fact, play music.
As if this approach to the 2001: A Space Odyssey theme song wasn’t poetic enough, the instruments they use also look like they would be at home in a Kubrick film. You can watch KMel’s other awesome drone-swarm-videos here, but definitely check this one out first.
