Vampire Drone Made of Fungus Consumes Itself Within Days: DARPA’s Secret Weapon
Which story was real news?
Vampire drones are for real. While that’s not what DARPA calls them, the agency is working on finding a disposable, disappearing drone.
But the real winner of our fake news prize was DRONELIFE product editor Malek Murison, for his article about DJI drones dropping candy into schoolyards. No joke: the famous confectionery company in question’s general counsel nicely requested that we take the story down after the FAA – clearly lacking a sense of humor in this case – contacted them to cease and desist.
