As of February 1, 2016, students, professionals and makers world wide are invited to join SimScale’s global drone optimization challenge. Participants are encouraged to improve the performance of a 3D printed mini quadcopter by modifying the initial design and proving their design decisions using SimScale, the web-based engineering simulation platform.
Participants will have free access to SimScale and its features for simulation. They will also be provided with hands-on tutorials, resources, and support.
Contestants will get first hand insights into simulation technology, with the three most impressive submissions being awarded a fully functional prototype of their drone design as well as other attractive prizes. Details of the contest are available here.
SimScale is becoming increasingly popular among engineers. The company is focusing on making it as easy as possible for people who are new to simulation to get started by providing them with training, webinars, documentation and other free learning resources. Contestants can learn how to perform simulations in the shortest time possible and make informed design decisions early in the development process.
