The Pioneering Spirit is the largest ship ever built. With a deck the size of eight football fields, it’s more like a small floating college campus rather than a ‘boat.’
Though decommissioned now, the Pioneering Spirit was originally built in 1987 as a pipelay vessel for the Allseas company. It is the world’s largest vessel in terms of gross tonnage, displacement and breadth.
It should come as no surprise then, that it takes a little perspective to really see the Pioneering Spirit and grasp its immensity.
And what better way to capture that perspective than to use a drone… a view that was shared by the team at Condept.
