When a police officer approaches a civilian flying a drone in public, it’s only natural that our brains assume the long arm of the law is going to, at the very least, ask the pilot to land said drone.
Despite their best efforts to convince us otherwise, cops are people too. And when people see a new gadget for the first time, curiosity often takes over.
