Jacaranda FM and Kagiso Media are trialling the use of drone aircraft for real-time traffic monitoring in Gauteng.
The UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) will be used to provide traffic updates for the N1 highway during peak hours, it said in a press statement.

The trial is set to last for 15 days, the station said, with a view to expanding the service to cover events and on-the-scene footage from major news events.
