By now, most everyone knows Amazon is inching closer to making package delivery by drone a reality. And it goes without saying once the internet giant has paved the way, (technologically and legally) other companies are sure to follow.
One such company is Bumblebee wireless, a smart device repair shop based in Palm Desert, CA. Founder James Uberti wants to use drones to pick up and drop off customers’ broken (and then fixed) smartphones and he says he can do it in less than 60 minutes for under $40 (once the technology and rules are in place, of course).
