GreenSight Agronomics, a Massachusetts-based start-up whose drone technology helps golf courses by reducing water and chemical costs, has recently deployed their first prototype system at a course in Scottsdale, Arizona. “The system captured 1 inch – resolution images of several golf courses and was well received by the superintendent” reports Joel Pedlikin, GreenSight’s COO. GreenSight aims to deploy drones at customer facilities to enable daily, autonomous imaging of their properties while cloud-based analytics automatically alert managers or superintendents of low-moisture conditions, pest infections, or other issues.
