The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a man lost a drone on top of AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Workers spent much of Tuesday on the stadium roof, looking for the flying camera, called a “Phantom 2 Vision,” before they finally found it.
A man said on a YouTube video that he lost the drone on the roof over the weekend when he flew it close to the stadium and lost contact with it.
Workers at AT&T Stadium will return the drone to its owner but are not releasing his name.
“Hobbyists must operate according to the agency’s model aircraft guidance,” the FAA said in a statement. “The FAA may pursue enforcement action against model aircraft operators who endanger the safety of the national airspace system.”
The unidentified man may have violated several federal regulations, including flying the aircraft too high and over populated areas.
