As you can imagine, there are some pretty strict rules about flying a drone around our nation’s capital. Despite the rules -and vocal resistance from the FAA– D.C. has one of the largest drone hobbyists communities in the country. As such, Viktor Mirzoyan recently shot this awesome video of the District of Columbia with his DJI Phantom.
As MOTHERBOARD points out, D.C. is an ideal city for this kind of footage because of the limitations on skyscrapers…and you won’t see any metal monstrosities or national monuments in this video. This is what the non-touristy side of D.C. looks like:
